As far as the Boyd book(s), I can tell you that I would not hesitate to buy one (all, if there are more than one). What about the other two non-clone books? Is it too soon to speak of those yet?
I cannot tell you what the Boyd books would be about because it would spoil the end of The Clone Elite. What I can tell you is that there would probably be three of them, they would involve the Japanese Fleet, and Harris would not appear in the books at all.
Now, about the other projects... I cannot go into too much detail. I will tell you that one of them is military science fiction, but not like the Harris novels. It is set in the very near future and nearly all of the technologies described in the book exist today. Well, many do not exist today, but scientists are experimenting with them. Nothing in the book will sound out of the real of the possible with today's technologies.
The second book is more in the real of a documentary. It is a book about a lesser-known submarine disaster from some time ago. I broke into writing as a journalist, and sometimes it feels good to go home to my roots.

It has been a while. How are you doing?
I have signed a contract for three more Wayson Harris novels and the publisher has expressed interest in a second series as well.
Welcome back, and thank you fro the vote of confidence.
heh heh, i hear that wayson aint gonna be in the next series? will he even be mentioned? because me, im a guy who likes to hear other characters opinions about the main character. cant wait to read the new series man!
Actually, I think you will see a lot of Harris in the next three books... just my personal opinion.
I just went onto Amazon a few minutes ago and checked out my recomendations. Yeah, Clone Elite was right at the top. Totally knocked my socks off to see that it is available to preorder and is considered close enough to do so. Don't mind me, I just felt like sharing that bit of info.
Kit, it is done. I am now motoring my way through Clones Have Ghosts at 2,000 to 3,000 words per day.
Clones Have Ghosts is an entirely new series based on the Unified Authority universe.
As to The Clone Elite I will post the opening chapter in the near future.
Thanks for bringing up Amazon.
while searching the web i decided to check up on news for one of my favorite games gears of war then i decided to google and see if there was a book on it. And i found an article saying "gears of war novelization coming, Steven Kent at the helm". source: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/01/gears-of-war-novelization-coming-steven-kent-at-the-helm/
Can this by any chance be those secret non clone books? is this article a lie? Are you keeping this a secret project? Or can you not say anything? Please tell!
B.I. Salmon, you win some and you lose some. Either Random House or more likely Epic was not thrilled with my efforts, and chose to work with Karen Traviss instead. SHe has written several best selling Star Wars novels, and I suspect she will do a bang up job with Gears of War as well. Her book is due out October 28--which, coincidentally, is also the day The Clone Elite hits store shelves.
well you answered my question and i'd usually leave at that but i just have to say talk about coincidence!
You know what, I don't think the folks at Random House or Epic consider me or my books important enough to have selected that release date.
What!?! your books are amazing. I read the first clone book as a summer reading book for school and it turned out to be my second favorite book (the clone alliance is my favorite book).
You're very kind.
thank you, but it's true those are my favorite books. Also is there any release date for Honolulu?
